You are welcome to join us on Sunday mornings at 9am for worship.  You're sure to be refreshed by good music and inspired by a unique and challenging sermon (with a Scottish flavor and Celtic references to Christian thought).  You don't have to wear a kilt or own any tartan to fit in or to walk in!  From the very young to the more mature folks, everyone is welcome.

First Christian Church of Baltimore is a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregation with Sunday services at 11am and choir rehearsal at 10:15am.

Vision:  Welcome to the Table
Statement of Calling:

Committed to the unity of God’s people at Christ’s Table, through the Word of God,
we strive to—
         enable service,
             foster fellowship, and
                  encourage education
so that we may grow in God's love.

Through the “four legs” of our welcome table, we invite everyone – friends, seekers, doubters – to come and “share the nourishment” with us of Worship, Service, Education and Fellowship.
We are an Open and Affirming Congregation in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Mt. Olivet Christian Church is a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ congregation.  The congregation is made up of families, singles, and persons of all ages on one accord, who believe that God is calling us to be a faithful and growing church that demonstrates true fellowship, deep Christian Spirituality, and a passion for justice and service to the community.  All are welcome to join us in worship and praise at 12:30pm.  We partake of communion every Sunday in remembrance of His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead that reminds us of the gift of eternal life.

The Gathering of Baltimore is a non-denomincational Christ-centered Community.  We offer an inclusive and affirming culture both to those who have been life-long Christians and to those searching for answers.  We are committed to welcoming those who seek a warm and accepting congregation.  In this way we typify the emergent church; we are on a journey trusting God to lead us in the right direction.  Our focus is on meaningful relevant worship; in-depth, provocative study of Scripture; dedicated and active service to others; intentional care of each other in our community; and formation of the spirit through retreats, prayer, and weekly, open communion.  Services are at 5pm on Sundays.

The Children’s Village of Baltimore, a parent/child program, is led by two early childhood experts.  At the Children’s Village, infants and toddlers come together with their parents in a warm, welcoming environment that is rich in opportunities for children to wonder, explore, and be joyful. As parents participate in fostering their children’s curiosity and creativity, they gain a deeper understanding of child development and become more confident in their individual capabilities.  Classes meet Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30am.

Baltimore Musicales is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to preserving the art of the song recital. Through accessible, engaging, and diverse programs of art song, opera, and musical theater, they introduce audiences to the power and beauty of the unamplified voice. Singers share the meanings of poetry and librettos, biographical information about the composers, and historical and literary contexts, allowing listeners to form deeper and more personal connections to the music. Baltimore Musicales hopes to cultivate new audiences for these genres in addition to building a sense of community through these shared experiences. They meet on select Sundays at 6:30pm throughout the year.  Visit baltimoremusicales.org for more information.

The Baltimore Vintage Record Club group of 78 rpm record enthusiasts has been in existence since 1980.  We are now entering our 36th year of continuous operation!  We reach a peak of 80 members back in the early 1990s and now struggle along with a core of 10-15 regular members.  Our members consist of lovers of early twentieth century "roots music" and come from Washington, DC and as far north as Southern Pennsylvania.  Everyone is welcome to attend our monthly swap meets.  We start at 5pm on the second Saturday of every month.  This odd time for a record meet was established in the beginning to avoid conflicts with Saturday morning yard sales or Sunday record shows.  For more info, go to bvrc78.blogspot.com.
